"Ready and Forward"
OUR MISSION
The Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Association (BSHA), is dedicated to serving the community and keeping history alive with the stories and contributions of African Americans in the military. Through our History and Horses program, education, and preservation of the history and achievements of the Buffalo Soldiers we hope to grow public knowledge, and help build pride as their military contributions, cultural impact and defense of America was a significant part of The Revolutionary War that continues to live on today.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture highlights, that "African American men have fought in every American war, yet the Buffalo Soldiers, two cavalry and four infantry regiments, have a unique place in place in history and memory. They helped the United States become a vast continental nation and ultimately a world power. Facing discrimination in the Army and in the towns where they were stationed, Buffalo Soldiers persevered to be a credit to their people and the nation".
